Hosting a Meeting

The King’s Daughters Inn is centrally located minutes from Duke University, Duke University Medical Center, and downtown Durham and a short hop from RTP (Research Triangle Park), Raleigh-Durham international Airport and Chapel Hill. Our technical capabilities and scalable spaces make the Inn an ideal venue for courses, seminars, workshops, off-site retreats, and board meetings.

Amenities Include:

  • A choice of three unique meeting rooms. The Inn can accommodate up to 60 in our largest room
  • Complimentary wireless Internet throughout the Inn
  • Flat screen TV – 42″ available in Parlor or Dining Room, two 52″ wall-mounted TVs in the Brodie Duke Hall
  • In wall sound system
  • Complimentary use of podium, microphones, flip chart, and whiteboard
  • Tables, chairs, and linens, along with setup and breakdown
  • Complimentary parking
  • Overnight group rates on any of our 17 unique rooms when five or more rooms are reserved

The Parlor

Great for intimate staff retreats and small group events. The atmosphere of a large living room allows you to escape cubicle mentality and let the creative juices flow. The relaxed ambience fosters heightened team building.

The Dining Room

Ideal for business lunches, presentations, annual dinners or client cocktail hours. The refined elegance of the Dining Room allows you to wine & dine your colleagues and customers in style.

  • Accommodates groups up to 48 for a buffet meal or 60 for a plated meal
  • 850 square feet, 25 ft. x 35 ft.
  • Multiple seating arrangements
  • On request, wide screen plasma TV, complete A/V system, tele- and web conferencing, and full internet connectivity
  • Starting at $500
  • Special rate for Duke University events, non-profits, and neighborhood groups

Brodie Duke Hall

A private conference room for when you need to roll up your sleeves and get down to brass tacks. With a separate entrance, private restrooms, and plenty of space to spread out if you need a working lunch, Brodie Duke Hall is a perfect fit for getting it done!

  • Accommodates groups up to 56 for a seated event or 70 for a mingling cocktail reception
  • 759 square feet, 23 ft. x 33 ft.
  • Private entrance
  • Two 58″ wall-mounted plasma screen TVs
  • Complete A/V presentation system
  • Teleconferencing and web conferencing
  • Full internet connectivity
  • Starting at $500

Catering Options

Have a favorite caterer? We don’t restrict your options! We have a full commercial kitchen available to any licensed caterer. Of course, we have a great list of recommended caterers and are here to take the guesswork out of your event planning if you’d like us to!

If you are looking to keep it simple, just ask! We also offer in-house breakfast, snack and lunch option for a complete, turn-key solution!
